Doina Caragea | Academic Advisor

Hello ACM-W friends! I am an associate professor in CIS, and the academic advisor of the ACM-W at K-State. My research interests include machine learning and data mining, with applications to bioinformatics, security informatics, and social network analysis. I have an M.S degree from University of Bucharest in Romania, and a Ph.D. degree from Iowa State University. As a woman in computer science, I understand the challenge of being in a male-dominated field, and I am committed to provide mentorship and support to female students. In my free time, I like to travel, learn about other cultures, eat ethnic foods, and spend time outdoors.
